S deferred EA, accepted RD. Very happy to get the big envelope. Will await info on merit award.

Congratulations!

Large envelope in the mail today. Will have to wait for D to see what it says…

Early congratulations to your D MomSix! Looks like our Ds are traveling in the same circles :)

Thanks GraniteStateMom - do you know where your D will go? WPI did accept my D with a scholarship for being valedictorian , but no financial aid news yet. Will let you know where my D will end up and maybe they will be at the same place…She hears great things about WPI from friends who go there.

My D is a freshman at WPI and absolutely loves it. Feel free to ask me any questions that you may have.

Anyone still waiting for financial info? S deferred EA, accepted last week. We were told award letter for merit aid would be mailed Apr 2. Still waiting.

Yeah I thought I was getting it today but still haven’t received it yet

Merit letter finally arrived! 12K/yr. Looks like S will get to leave the hot Texas weather he has never really liked. Not sure he understands the concepts of Western Mass cold and snow. He’ll learn!

He will indeed learn.

Dress in layers so you can adjust as the temperature changes. An outer layer that is windproof is better as the wind blowing thru you will always make it feel colder. Just think of it as part of the learning experience.

He’ll probably learn to like the seasons. I (as do many others) like fall the best.

He may be lucky and have a mild winter like we did this year.
