Adults returning to school, my advice if you're deciding on a 4-year.

All good info, coming from this 41 y/o. The spouse and children thing is MUCHO importante! They're going to be your primary means of encouragement, if not the only means of encouragement, so if they're not with you 100% on this, you might as well give up.

I disagree with your statement about the Corvette. Honestly, they may be cheaper, but I'm finding school WAY more fun. Seriously. Then again, a car is just an appliance to me. Plus, it depreciates faster.

Also, don't wait until the August before you're ready to transfer to figure out what school you want to transfer to. Figure it out NOW. That way, you can take precisely the courses those schools want to see on your transcript, and know when you'll actually be ready to transfer. Sometimes, it means going to two or three different community colleges to do it, like I'm doing now, but you'll have the time to do it if you plan ahead.

Also, don't let the average age of your classmates get to you. Your age is actually quite an advantage, in any field, as long as you keep you mind active and learning.
