What is the procedure for applying for AP exam in India?
Like if we are applying for any colllege in 2014 , we have to give AP in 2013 itself?

Also on college board website it says March 1 , thats means i missed the deadline?

and yes you have to give it 2013

You can always plan to give it in 2014 and show on the Commonapp that your AP results are awaited.

APs don’t have much of a say in admission decisions but it does help.

@Dhruv @rishav17 can you please elaborate on whether its necessary to give the AP in 2013 if I will be applying for HYPSM colleges in '14

Also is it better to give all 3 PCM if want to aplly for science because the fees is too high :(

I have seen students in Fiitjee booklet who get 5/5 in AP in all PCM

APs as a part of your application for admission are not necessary and don’t carry as much wait as your transcripts/standardized scores. Though it is always good to have them.

As the name says - APs are used to get an advanced standing in college - meaning you can skip the introduction classes for you major, if you have an AP for that particular course. Not all universities offer advanced standing though.

As far as which AP to give, you should check out the syllabi and see what you are comfortable with. Also just to point out - there is nothing such as PCM in the APs. They have a variety of math exams such as Calculus BC, Statistics, etc.

Honestly, from what I infer(from your various posts) - you are reaching way too high with HYPSM. Even the other Ivies/top universities seem a bit of a reach for you. You should really do more research on the various universities and their admission stats (and by research I don’t mean using CC for every other question you have). Use collegeboard, topuniversities, usnews and other such websites. If you still don’t understand anything - talk your counselor.
Hopefully you will take this criticism positively!! :D

@rishav17

But somehow like as i said before i messed up with 11th exams(subject percetages are in 75’s) so will the AP exams be able to cover them if i perform better there?

Ummm thanks for the advice!
Mind if you elaborate why you think that I have less chance even in the other Ivies? I have sent you a PM :)
