Yeah, that's a big point! Do your best on the test. You will be tired when you take it, but what is more valuable--not taking a nap or getting out of some classes?

Ahhh
I see your point. thanks
but if you validate out of a class, don't you take a harder course which would take up alot of the hard to get time?? so would it be easier to just take the class and then like, relearn the class and get good grades or is it better to just try and validate it.???

Many of the advanced courses are higher level but less work. (i.e. there was more assigned work in my Calc 2 class than my Calc 3 class) Many of the regular freshman courses pile on a ton of work. For relearning a subject, I did that with my calc 2 class. I could have validated it, but I realized that I did not know it very well. I chose to only validate calc 1. It was good to go over the material again, but I wound up getting a below average (for me) grade in it.

You would think that you would do better, but many don't. People still retake calculus 1 after failing it first semester. As I always do, I highly recommend validating as high as you can. It MAY make freshman year slightly more difficult, but when you are only taking 5 classes, its manageable. Also, validating more means less course later in your cadet career. With a major in chemistry and a minor in japanese, I've also added 2 for fun classes and I still only have 6 classes a semester, the average is 7.
