So this question has to do somewhat with Yale, and also with classes in general (but I figured people who frequent the Yale forum are smart cookies, so they would be able to give me a reasonable answer). So I live near the University of Montana and I am signed up to take a course entitled Advanced Econometrics. I was wondering if anyone has had any past experience with a course like this and would be able to say whether it is a challenging course or not. I've self-studied from the Gauss-Markov Assumptions of a Multiple Regression Model to analyzing Time-Series Data, and was wondering if this would be enough to enter into a course where students are expected to have taken an Introductory Econometrics course. Also, I am a junior in high school. In addition, would a course like this (which, with my other college courses, add up to 17 credits) look good on a transcript, and catch the attention of a Yale admissions officer? Thanks for any advice or info!
