Advanced Placement Examinations

<p>Taking an AP English ( Lit and Comp) would be beneficial and MAY get you excused from one of those required English seminar classes. All schools want students who can write, no matter what the major.
Also, utilize materials in your HS’s Guidance Office- there’s usually a lot to be found there. Taking an AP course is fine, but you have to get a good score, a “4” or “5”, to have the credit accepted by a college. Not all colleges accept them and some only for certain courses, which may not include classes in your major field. A few, fewer every year, will accept an exam grade of “3”.</p>
