Advanced Placement Exams

For all who have taken it, I have a few questions about the AP exams;

1-How hard is it to self-study for an exam?
2-How good are the prep books?
3-How hard is it compared to SAT II or IB Exams?
4-Has anyone taken 14+ exams? If so, how did you do it?
5-Can I get 5 credit for AP exam and another 5 creds for IB Exam in same subject?

Thanks in advance =)

1 - depends. if you
re talking AP Psychology or AP Human Geography, that
s easy. if you`re thinking of something else like AP Chemistry, that takes a lot of study time (unless you click well with chemistry).

2 - again, it depends. ive heard that test prep companies like barrons and REA are good in certain areas, but very poor in others. its best to go to the bookstores and flip through the content to see if its for you or not.

3 - AP exams are usually harder than SAT IIs. as for IB exams, i have no clue.

4 - there are people that have taken 14+ exams. usually, it is through self-studying (unless they took 4 sophomore year, 5 junior year, and 5 senior year, or something of that mix)

5 - you can get credit for a 5 on an AP exam in college (depends on the college). i have no clue about IB exam, but i think it`s possible to get some credit.

let me rephrase my question, can I get a total of 10 credits for doing ap chem both ib chem if the college offers 5 for each??
