So only one will fit into my schedule so I need to decide whether or not to drop Advanced Pre-Calculus or take Honors Physics? I am currently taking, AP English Literature, AP US Government, AP World History, and AP Latin. I have already taking three years of math and I know many schools highly recommend physics. So what should I do?

A fourth year of math, in my humble opinion, is far more valuable that a course in “applied math”, which is Physics.

Many adcoms would look at not taking a core subject (math, english) in Sr. year as a poor decision. I doubt any adcoms would say “oh, I see, didn’t take Physics… hmmm”.

I agree and disagree at the same time. Physics is one of the 3 lab sciences that colleges HIGHLY recommend you take. I’m guessing you’re a senior, however, so I think you might be behind in math if you’re only taking PreCalc this year. So, for that reason only, I would take PreCalc, not because Physics isn’t equally as important but because PreCalc will probably prep you better for college classes. What do you plan to major in? Do you have to take two AP history/social studies classes? Because If I were you I’d try to take both PreCalc and Physics… Hope this helps!
