Advantage, Disadvantage, or no effect?

<p>I was looking at Cornell's ILR school, and how it's a contract college. I am in-state, and was wondering if this would help me in the admissions process, or give me disadvantage (or have no effect)? Does my location mean anything in the admissions process, since it would cost less for me? </p>

<p>Some agreement Cornell has with NYS. I don’t think it will help much. I don’t think where you are geographically gives you any advantage (or disadvantage) in admissions. Though uni’s definitely strive to take kids from all over to keep with the diversity and all.</p>
