I was just wondering is there any advantage of sending application 1 month before deadline of Jan 1.How do college review applications? Do they start reviewing applications the order they arrived?

“Do they start reviewing applications the order they arrived?”

I have no clue. But I can’t see how sending the app one month early would disadvantage you … so go ahead and do it. And good luck with your Apps.

Thanks…But,I would like to know the application process in detail from anyone who knows that.My question is how the admission committee deals with my application package after they receive my mail?

Depends on the school and its admissions policy. Rolling admissions means they look at them as they get them and make a decision sooner rather than later.

When your completed app arrives, they most likely will scan it into their database (so readers can access it electronically). If and when the remainder of your file comes in (HS Transcript, rec letters), they’ll begin to read it. Even if you get your part in, there’s no guarantee that your HS and teachers won’t get their stuff in until mid January.

Even so, unless it’s a rolling admissions college, any advantage you might hope for would be negligible.

That is not true. Colleges want to see your application earlier rather than at or near the deadline. They usually read apps based on when they received them. Obviously you want a fresh reader reading your application and not some person who has already read through thousands of app’s and wishes he could make a bonfire out of every single one of them.
