Also, if they see that both my parents have only earned assosiates degrees rather than some graduate or doctorates degree and do not have these high paid jobs, will admission officers be more linient?</p>
<p>If you are a first-generation college student, that will give you an advantage.</p>
<p>If you demonstrate that you have succeeded in spite of major financial obstacles, that will give you an advantage.</p>
<p>But simply applying for a fee waiver won’t really have an effect on your application.</p>
