<p>My father and I were having a discussion on college and I feel that a Postgraduate Year (PG) would be beneficial to admission into college but he doesn't feel the same. What are your feelings on the topic. I am writing a paper/list describing why it is worth applying to along with my other colleges. For reference, I'm considering applying to Exeter, Andover, Lawrenceville and Choate. I would not need financial aid and I would be an educational not an athletic PG.</p>
<p>What specific merits would there be to an Academic PG year?</p>
