If the deadline was November 1 what do you think?

wow thanks momofthreeboys! i’m sure your great wisdom must come from raising all those boys!

my app was submitted hours before the deadline, and my submitted online application is dated 11/01/2010 (when i review the application, the date at the bottom reads 11/01/2010). could there be a discrepancy between when my app was submitted and when it was downloaded? or am i tough out of luck?

There is a discrepancy between when your app was submitted to Common App and when it was downloaded by UM… because they don’t happen at same time.

You’re fine.

Just saw this on the U-M site:

All students who indicated Early Action on their application will receive an email notification by no later than November 25 regarding whether or not they qualified for Early Action

UMICH8790, could you post the link to where you found that tidbit of information so we can all check it out on umich’s website for ourselves. I’m not saying it’s not there, just wanting to look at it on their website for myself. Thanks.

It’s on here JT2011: [University of Michigan - Office of Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.admissions.umich.edu/)

Thanks abazzi93. Just saw the post.

Although the website said that there is no advantage in applying Early Action, I think there is. Since admissions is rolling, I think the admissions committee is more inclined to accept a greater number of applicants while they have so many seats available.

Just a quick question on UofM…my son has applied to LSA as an econ major. His credentials page (application info) indicates this. He also indicated on his application that he would like to be considered for Ross as a business major (I think it’s called something like preferred admittance). That isn’t indicated anywhere on his application page. Should it be? Does anyone know how this works? I’m hoping it wasn’t an oversight when someone uploaded his info from his application.

I applied regular decision, aka rolling, in October. Does this mean that I will get a response before those who applied rolling later than me? (I realize that Michigan reads early action apps first, but would they start admitting regular ones soon after?)
