Advice about submitting grades

I have an issue about submitting my grades I really need help with. I currently attend the University of California, Davis as a freshman and I am looking to transfer. Because Davis is on the quarter system, I just got back my grades for my winter quarter and I need help deciding whether or not to submit them to two of the schools I am applying to transfer to, Georgetown and Columbia.

My first quarter I got a 3.9 GPA with A's in Chemistry and Calculus and an A- in a class on chivalry(part of my honors program) and I got a pass on two small seminars that don't count into my GPA (also part of the program and they couldn't be taken for grades). Because both Georgetown and Columbia don't require mid-year reports, the only grades they have of mine are the 3.9 from this fall quarter and my 3.8 (unweighted, 4.2ish weighted) high school GPA. Though there is a decline in my high school grades the second semester of senior year.

My grades that I just received this winter quarter slightly worse then last quarter. In both Chemistry and Calculus I got A-, in US History I got a B+, and in my Biotechnology class I got an A which gives me a GPA of 3.67 for the quarter. However nether of these schools have these grades, they only know that I took the classes.

While I do not think I did bad last quarter, I did do worse then fall quarter. If I submit my winter quarter grades that would give me a GPA (combined with fall quarter) of 3.77 overall. Is it worth it to submit these winter grades to Columbia and Georgetown even though my grades are worse then my fall quarter?

Yeah, don’t bother submitting them if they’re not required, as they won’t help you. If they were required it would be a different story.

K thanks, I was just thinking that they might want to see that I am still doing work and that I am doing okay in my classes beyond just the first 10 weeks (how long a quarter is) of my college career.
