Drama:
Kelsey, whether you like his opinions or not doesn’t matter, there is no need to insult people even if you think he is insulting you. It doesn’t matter whether he is a 12 year old or a 70 year old grandpa, his opinion still holds the same merit as anyone else’s on here. I don’t know how you judge how qualified somone is, but having someone who works in a related field seems pretty good to me. I guess being a cheer judge(or however that works) might be more qualified if that is the type of qualification you’re looking for tho but then who would be qualified to speak about cheer?
Do you honestly think his comments are that hateful or trying to embarass you? Even though he isn’t very nice and posdibly condescending, it doesn’t seem like an attack on your life force. I mean really, he even said your GPA and ACT were good.
The issue that I think he is talking about is that it makes people confused and wastes people’s time to be chancing people that aren’t real. Although there is nothing inherently wrong with it, it is pretty dang annoying. How would you feel if people were to tell you “oh I’m a great cheerleader, I know XYZ moves” then showing up to try out and saying “oh I never knew those” That’s a stretch of an example but still.
Chance:
Your application looks good, your courses are a little light, but I think the test scores will work out in your favor. Lots of cheer is good, if you get recruited(not sure if they recruit for cheer) you’d have a great chance anywhere.
It ia really cool that you want to track your accomplishments. Have you considered blog or something for it?
You probably have a slightly above average chance for top schools.
Note, he could be a 22 year old that just graduated from college. Strange how people see that the same as a 50 year old.
