<p>I am 27 years old. I am trying to get into uva. I finished high school with a 2.4 didn't take my education seriously. Dropped out of community college and went to work.
I enrolled back in school the.fall of.2011. A community college I will have 43 credits when I apply to uva. Im in state. My gpa is a 4.0 by the time I apply the lowest I see it goin is a 3.8
Here is my problem I developed a substance problem and accumulated 4 misdemeanor charges petit larceny, poss of drug paraphanelia, failure to appear, and underage.posession of alcohol. I haven't had.a charge in 3 years I attend alcoholics anonymous and have.been sober for two years. I am wondering if I even have.a shot my major is computer science. I have a uva alum that is going to write a recommendation and my.coursework has been tough.subjects such as calc, chem, and computer science courses.I want to transfer as a junior. Can someone give me an honest opinion about.my chances I have great work ethic and have recommendations to prove it. If u need anymore details just ask.</p>
