Advice/Chances, will chance back if requested!

I'm really not sure about where to apply early, all I have down is
MIT Early Action,
and I'm thinking between (additionally)
UChicago Early Action,
Cornell Early Decision, and
Williams Early Decision, I love all the schools but I want to pick the most tactical choice!

Also chance RD:
Cornell CAS
Northwestern McCormick (Engineering, IEMS)
Williams
UChicago Economics/Math
Harvard Economics
Princeton ORFE
Carnegie Mellon MCS

Scores:

ACT: 34 (36 Reading, 36 Sci, 34 Math, 29 Eng, 12 Essay, 31 E/W)
SAT II: 800 Math II, 800 US History , 780 Chemistry
PSAT: 212 (80M, don't remember others) - Merit Commendation
AP tests so Far: Stat (5) US (5) Physics B (5) English Language (5) World (4)
GPA: 99/100 - 8.25/8 (Almost Perfect, Straight As or better)
Rank: Top 3-5% (Out of 600), (School doesn't rank, but this is an estimate, could be better, but not worse).

Fresh GPA - 7.9/8 (97/100)
Sophomore GPA - 8.15/8 (99 ish)
Junior GPA - 8.667/8 (104/100, but school caps average at 100)

Upward trend

Senior courseload (one of the hardest in grade, my rigor has always been the hardest available at my school)
AP Us Gov
AP Calc BC
AP Computer Science A (Skipped 2 years of prerequisites)
AP Spanish Language
AP English Literature
AP Physics C Mech
AP Physics C E & M
AP Macro Economics
AP Micro Economics

ECs:
-Cornell Summer College (3 credits) - Completed, A in the class, professor recommendation

-Intern at an institutional investing business in the city over the summer (Over 80 Hours, Paid)

-Debate Team Captain (Forensics) 9-12 (Been to HYP and State tournaments)

-Chess Team President (have a USCF rating and one of the best seniors in my county with 16 teams) 9-12

-Mathletes Officer Position Treasurer 10-12

-Treasurer of local community service extension run by Cornell (just got shut down due to budget cuts, was invited to the state competition in public speaking with this club, I was in it when it first started this year through the end)

-President of Spanish Honor Society (Picked by several teachers out of a group of many other students)

-Member of National Honor Society

-Member of Political Science Club (just started this year)

-Helping a teacher run a new business/website by writing articles about finance (just senior year)

Intended Major:
Economics/Mathematics/Financial Mathematics (Contingent on school)

Me
-Male
-White
-New York
-VERY Competitive Public School (Sends dozens of kids to Ivies per year)
-Don't know income bracket, but will apply for financial aid.

These are semester courses, correct?

Also, how many kids from your school usually go to MIT?

MIT isn’t that popular I don’t think, 1 went last year, only a few applied. Other ivies had a lot, for instance 26 accepted cornell and something like 5 dartmouth accepted, 1 harvard, 2 or 3 yale, 2 princeton (mostly different kids) etc.

Well AP Physics C Mech & E & M are a 1 year course but 2 AP exams, and AP Macro is a half yaer class, and I’m self studying micro kind of, the teacher knows me and I can’t fit it in my schedule so I’m taking her tests/assignments and still taking the exam if I can’t get into the class.

Bump 10char.
Please, would really like advice and/or suggestions!

Agh Bump again!

Bump… again.
10char.

In for Cornell and Carnegie Mellon, everything else = low reach, while Princeton, Harvard, Williams and MIT maybe be a mid to high reach for you since they’re EXTREMELY selective. but nice, amazing stats and i think it’s only possible to apply to one school for early decision

Yeah it is that’s why I’m having trouble picking which school, (if any) Cornell or Williams for ED, or just UChicago and MIT Early action.
Which of these tactically would give me the best/most safe options haha?
It’s a grueling choice.

hm, if you want to be on the safe side, definitely choose cornell ED. 95%, you’ll get accepted. but you should choose what’s best for you, and judging by your stats, im sure you’ll go somewhere remarkable and do well. oh btw, please chance my UVA thread back!

Chanced back.
Yeah some people are saying play it safe, but others say it puts me at a worse position for schools, so I just don’t know!

Bump, looking for some more opinions

In at carnegie mellon, cornell and northwestern=low reaches, williams and chicago not sure, harvard, princeton and mit=high reaches. I’m sure you’ll do great at most places; awesome stats!

Chance me back? The thread is called chances for yale, others and should be near the top. Thanks and good luck!

Chanced Back.

Bump
10char

Your stats are obviously good. Your ECs are very good as well, but could be better for top universities. With that being said, I think you could get into any of these schools.
MIT- EA= reach
Cornell CAS- ED= very very likely, RD= high match
Northwestern McCormick (Engineering, IEMS)- low reach
Williams- ED= match (high acceptance ED), RD= reach
UChicago Economics/Math- EA= match, RD= low reach
Harvard Economics- high reach
Princeton ORFE- high reach
Carnegie Mellon MCS- high match

Thanks a lot, exactly what I was looking for. But is really Williams ED more likely than Carnegie Mellon RD? I could be wrong, but that doesn’t seem right?

Chanced back.
