advice ? classes ?

I will be attending a California community college.. and as far as I know, you may only have a maximum of 18 units.

I'm currently sitting at 17.
English, 4
Econ, 3
Drama, 3
Stats, 4
Intro computer science, 3

Okay, SO, with that being said..
My plan is to transfer to a UC in two years. I just moved here last year and I'm not one hundred percent familiar with the transfer process. However, my college offers a "transfer Success" course (1 unit). I could take this course and be at my max amount of units, but mondays and wednesdays I'd basically have to survive from 7am til 2:30 with no lunch break..

There is also a "College Success Skills" course (3 units). So I'd have to drop a class if I wanted to take this course. Are either of these classes worth it ? Should I just keep my schedule how it is ? Any advice is APPRECIATED !!

You can always bring lunch with you and eat it in class (god knows i’ve done this enough times).

I’d take the 1 credit course, but thats just me.

What is so difficult about transferring that you’d need a seminar on it? You send them your transcripts, they mess up applying the credits, you harass them for a month until it’s fixed.

The College Success Skills is probably a waste of time. If you need that class, chances are you’re not going to be successful anyways.

I wouldn’t take the transfer course. While I didn’t apply to any UCs, I did take a glance at their websites and most of the information you’d need to know can be found just by looking at the school’s website or by calling them. It’d seem like a waste of time.

I also think the success course would be relatively unnecessary unless, say, you’d been out of school for years before returning. The stuff they teach is mostly stuff you either know already or will soon figure out. I know someone who took a similar class just to be full time and it sounded so unbelievably stupid.
