Advice: ECE or CSE at Ohio State?

Any current or recent undergraduates in ECE (electrical and computer specializations) or CSE; or just anyone with knowledge about the engineering program at Ohio State. I'll be an incoming freshman, and I'm slightly worried. I'm very good at math, but I hear that the physics classes are quite difficult. Any advice about a selection based on curriculum rigor, amount of time spent studying/out of class work, and anything else you wish you would've known as an engineering freshman at OSU. Thanks!

I went to OSU for my undergrad and loved it. It is a very good school. It can be a little overwhelming since it’s so large. But people there are really nice - and there are tons of classes available.

Of course your classes will be hard. If they aren’t, why take them? That’s what college is for. My input about your question is that you should make sure your instructors know you. If you need something, instructors (TA’s or Profs) are more likely to help you out when they know you are actually doing the work. Another thing: take the real engineering calculus sequence at OSU. Don’t assume that your AP class in high school is worth the same thing as a university calculus course. It just isn’t regardless of what everyone has told you. (I’m a math instructor at a university now - so I know. : ))

Good luck!
