Advice Econ/Business Econ

I need more advice on deciding between Economics/Mathematics and Business Economics. Is it true that with an economics degree it will be difficult to find as good a job as a business economics right out of an undergraduate school? I do plan to go to graduate school, but doesn't it usually require 3-5 years on average of work experience? Also which major would be best if I want to get a MBA? My eventual goal is to get a job in finance- my dream job is to be a hedge funds manager. I would definitely prefer San Diego's environment over LA's environment, but not at the sacrifice of my future.
All Pre-reqs that can be taken at my CC have been completed for all colleges IGETC-completed over 130 units if including AP exams
Accepted: UCSB-Business Economics, UCR- Business Economics, UCI- Business Economics , UCD - Economics, UCSD- Economics
Pending: UCLA- Business Economics (preferred) Economics (alternative)

Here’s the “Class 2010 profile” of MBA program at UCLA Anderson.

About 22% with 0-3 years of experiences were accepted, age range is 22-41, meaning that there are people accepted right after graduation (22 years old). The most famous undergrad degrees are Engineering, Business, Econ, etc.

I’d still recommend Business over Econ!
