Advice for a Canadian transfer to the US?

Hello everyone!

I'm looking to transfer to the selected schools listed below for sophomore year. I am hoping to gauge the possibilities of successfully transferring and perhaps even gain some insight into the specifics that I could improve on.

Current Situation:
•At a top 1 or 2 (depending on who you ask) Canadian University. I am sure those familiar with Canadian academia can guess which one.
•Semester One GPA: 4.0 with full-course load in its Commerce/Business Program.

Schools and Programs I am Targeting:
•Brown University - Commerce, Organization and Entrepreneurship Concentration
•Georgetown University - McDonough School of Business
•Northwestern University - Economics
•Cornell University - Economics in the College of Arts and Sciences
•The University of Pennsylvania - Economics
•University of Virginia - Economics (Then apply in-school to McIntire for third year)
•Williams College - Economics

Biographical Information:
•Citizenship: Dual Citizen (American and Canadian)
•High School GPA: Cumulative GPA at 92/100 at a Catholic High School. In Ontario, a +90% is considered an A+. School does not rank, but I was lead on by school statistics and officials to be within the top 3 bracket of highest graduating mark.
•High School Courses: School offered no AP courses or the IB Program. Took all University Preparatory level courses (U-level for Grades 11 & 12, Academic-level for Grades 9 & 10)

Standardized Test Scores:
•ACT: 33 ACT Composite, 10 Writing
•SAT I: None
•SAT II: None

Note: I did not consider transferring to American colleges until September that just passed (2011). I realize most of my choices do not require SAT IIs, and I inferred that to waste away precious time to cramming for the subject tests for the next month is just silly in the eyes of both myself and admission officers. Is my judgment correct?

Extracurricular Activities and Community Service:
•Totaled 400 Hours Community Service (Food Banks, Fundraising, Environmental Cleanups, etc) from 2007-Present
•Manager and Webmaster of a band with friends. Band has performed at several local venues, though nothing major. It is more of a fun non-profit venture than anything else. 2010-Present
•Began an off-the-side seasonal business of snow shoveling for my community with a neighborhood friends. Made about $2000 in total. Again, an activity I did more for the enjoyment of benefiting others, and not a serious business activity. Winters of 2008, 2009, 2010
•An "Activity Liaison" (I know, I laughed too when I first heard it) for the Taiwan Economics Affairs Office for a culturally-themed summer camp. Produced a video documenting the week-long event; it was later presented to the Affairs Office as an official record of events. For the summer of 2010.
•A studio operator, segment producer and team coordinator for the school television program. From 2008-2010.
•Member of the city squash team. Nothing really of note, other than versing other players in inter-city matches. From 2009-2011.
Financial Situation:
Family Income Bracket: Approx. 200k.
Applying for Financial Aid?: Yes, but not for Brown.

I realize transfer admissions, especially to my selection of highly competitive schools, are at best based on luck. However, I seek to improve my chances on the features that I can control, and as such am looking forward to any criticism, questions, or comments on my applicant profile.

Thanks!

do u attend mcgill by any chance? if so pm me

collegedreamin1, unfortunately not.

Yes.

Do you think that it might be more difficult to transfer for me versus a student from an American college due to my current institution being in Canada? Would I be counted as an international applicant or more of an American expatriate?
