I don’t know what to do about Spanish 320. We just got back our first and only assignment of the semester and I got a poor grade. The professor added an extra optional assignment that we could do to replace the grade of this one, but there’s no guarantee that I would do much better, let alone have time for it with all of the other papers I'm writing right now. There are two weeks left of the semester and we JUST got this back and it’s our only grade so far, so basically 75% of our grade would be determined in the next 2 weeks. That's a lot of pressure.

I don’t think it’s quite fair, so I've inquired about "withdraw passing" and "late drop" options. The difference between them is that a WP would appear on my transcript and a drop wouldn't. A drop also has a $25 fee and it's harder to get approved than a WP. A few of my profs think that I have a good case for both, but my Spanish major advisor thinks that I should stay in the course and try to raise my grade.

Advice?
