Advice for a international transfer student applying to Kelley School of Business?

Hello, I am a Korean. I have recently been accepted as a transfer student(Pre-business) to Indiana Bloomington and will be attending 2015 fall term. I am interested in applying for Kelley. I have been hearing horror stories about some of the courses at Kelley that are basically designed to weed out the people who aren’t serious about what they are doing. Do you have any advice for class scheduling to make life easier and make my odds better? now I want to be serious as the field I am trying to enter is very competitive.

I heared that there are some courses to take to be a Kelley student.
If you recommand the easiest way for me, I will appreciate of you wholeheartedly.

Take at least one : BUS-K210, BUS-X201
Take at least one : ENG-W131, BUS-C104, BUS-C204, BUS-L201, BUS-G202 AND BUS-D270
Take at least two : BUS-A201, BUS-A202, ECON-E201, ECON-E202, MATH-M118, MATH-M119,
ECON-E370, BUS-A100 AND BUS-G202

Actually, I do not know about that courses exactly. I need your help.

Please let me know and I will be very thankful.

There are numerous threads on CC sharing advice on which classes to take to increase your odds for standard admit. Take some time to read through the posts.

Some quick advice -
BUS K201 is all about computers/spreadsheets (Excel) so depending upon your knowledge level you might want to spend time this summer brushing up on Excel.
Do NOT take Eng-W131 your freshman year instead take BUS-C104.
If you are good at math then I would recommend MATH-M118 and MATH-M119.
For BUS A-100 it is ALL about doing the available practice exams before the mid-term and final.

Good luck!
