Advice for a Junior?

Hey guys
Well I wanted some feedback based on my info from you guys. I really want some advice on getting into Cornell,Columbia, NYU, and Syracuse; if there’s anything that you guys think that I should include or improve just tell me.
Btw I didn’t take the SAT or SAT subject tests yet–taking them in March.

Well here goes:
Haitian - Born in Port-au-Prince moved here when I was 4

1) Had 1 honors class on my freshmen year (Honors French) everything else was in regular classes
2) Sophomore year 3 honors classes ( Honors Geometry, Honors French, and Honors Global) everything else regular
3) Junior Year:
-AP Lang
-AP US History
-AP Psychology
-IB French
-Honors Trig
-Honors Chem
GPA so far is 3.9

EC’s:
1)Dance Team (My third year now and still continuing)
2)Dance Residencies( Third year still continuing) : African, Break Dance, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hoops and Soups(school community residency), Fosse, Pep Rally residency, and Broadway Style Jazz&Breakdance
3) Choir(3rd year so far): Soprano Section Leader
4) SADD (students against drunk driving)-this year
5)Service Honor Society-this year ( a community and school service based club) - was Assistant of the VP for the community Main Street Wreath Project
6)Volunteer at my community hospital 170hours and still ongoing: I do Clerical work in the Cardiology Department
7) Web Design Team-this year
Help update the School’s and Community home website
8) Also I’ve been nominated for National Honor Society twice so far and planning to get accepted this year.

Well that’s it, srry I couldn’t give out more info on my grades since its Midterm week and its transitioning to the 2nd semester of the school year.

Anyways any advice? Feedback?

Oops I forgot to put that I received 3 Blue Ribbons from the UDA Dance Association :p

Well, …, Barnard isn’t Cornell, Columbia, NYU, or Syracuse.

Exactly. See above post.

That being said, if the OP did attend Columbia, it appears that dance would be high on her list of options in which she’d like to major, so she would take those classes at Barnard as a Columbia student.

However, nobody here (or on any of the other boards of the schools in which the OP is interested…can you tell I don’t like “chances” threads??) can tell you if you will be admitted. To me, you seem competitive. Just do your best work going forward, carefully investigate the programs in which you are interested (I do know from my own D’s experience that finding high level dance in college along with challenging academics is tough), take standardized tests EARLY (so you can re-take if needed) and then apply to a good range of schools.

Oh I know, I’m just stating out my dream schools

Thank you do much
I’ll take that into consideration.
I would like to take the SATs in March so that I could see my scores and see where I need to improve then retake it again in the same year so that in senior year I won’t have to worry about it. But thank you so much for your advice
