I scored (PSAT in 2014) 49 on the critical reading 42 on the math and a 35 on the writing .I looked on the view details on the college board website and it says I fell into the average scores .i know i didn’t do terrible but I could have done better . I’m taking the new SAT in May and I’m in SAT prep in my high school. I felt so lost in SAT prep math since I’m only in Algerbra 2 ; most of the kids are in trig or above. For math next year I signed up for statistics and financial math .should I take the SAT and hope that I’ll do okay on the math since most of it is trig ?Im in the upper two fifths of my class but my high school is penn hills senior high school;if you live in Pennsylvania you know how bad my school district is with testing.Do you think with that reputation I’ll be admitted for college less than someone who went to better school district ? I’ll have four AP classes done by my senior year.Should I take the ACT instead? I’ll be paying out of pocket for all these tests since I don’t qualify for free lunch which is how my school district determines free tests.
