I am about to separate from the Army after doing four years of service. I'm thinking about applying to jhu, but I probably don't have any chance of getting accepted..
My high school GPA is 3.5+, but I took the high school proficiency exam during my junior year, and went to a community college. But, I have made some mistakes... some HORRIBLE mistakes... and completely ruined my GPA.. That was four years ago, and I have grown and matured throughout the years being in the military. Is there any chance that they would even consider me as a transfer student?

Unlike some other institutions, Hopkins does not have any programs for military veterans. And to be honest, it is rare for non-traditional students to be admitted as transfer students. The transfer acceptance rate by itself is less than 10%, and normally admitted transfer students have not had extended periods of time out of school. Yes, you are eligible to apply as a transfer applicant and your application will be thoroughly reviewed, but I thought it important for you to realize your chances for admissions will be quite low – especially with a weak GPA.

You may want to investigate options through some of our non-traditional programs:
