Alright, so let me explain this as briefly as possible:

I have an internship this summer with a Fortune 500 company (specifically within the top 100), and I really do like the company a lot, and of course their benefits, like paid MBA at any university. To work for a Big 4 I would have to either do 150 credit hours or get my MBA (preferable), all out of MY pocket.

I have also been offered for next summer an internship with a Big 4 firm, but honestly, staying in school an extra year out of my pocket when they would actually pay me (salary) LESS than the Fortune 500 company does not sound like a smart decision.

I was thinking this: what if I accept the internship offer from the Big 4, get through it, deny the full-time offer (if given), then go with the Fortune 500 company, or any other high-bidder with similar benefits. I mean, I do not feel like I am cheating them by taking the internship knowing I will not work there because they also have an extra person to work their tedious job for a good 4-5 months in the busy season (spring).

This method would allow me to have Big 4 experience (albeit it just an internship for 4-5 months), and maybe a higher paying 'entry-level' job at the Fortune 500 company or elsewhere, as I will have at least some public accounting experience.

Does anyone else think this method would enhance my resume and thus my prospective salary out of college?
