Hey everyone. i just wanted to ask if I should take my regular sats in October or November. (keep in mind i still have to take my sat 2s as well= i plan on taking Physics and Math 2)I'm assuming they have the sat 2s available in both months. I am going to be a senior this coming school year. I am going to be applying to a few Ivy's like Brown and Cornell.

May Sat
520 -Cr
610 -MAth
540 --Writing

June Sat
550 -CR
640 -Math
540 -Writing

I hope to get atleast a 2000+ on my regular sats
and a 700+ on my Sat 2's

My original plan was just to take regular sats in oct and sat 2s in nov. Because I am going to take AP physics. so maybe that will refresh my memory a little more for physics and I will just have to review math more in debt.

@Rohitht Actually, Physics B helps SAT II but does not always result in a good score, if that’s what you meant. OP, if you paid enough attention in HS physics class, and if you get a good review book like PR, you can definitely pull 700. The test has such a generous curve. Put a LOT of effort in the SAT + SAT Phys and you will see the rewards :)

Look on the collegeboard site to see when the SAT IIs are. They have them all the time but not all of the tests are available on all of the test dates. Make sure the ones you want are available before you choose your date.

I’m sorry that i was rude but lets face it… 1800 SAT’s won’t cut it for Brown unless your a URM.

By the way my only word of advice is for your SAT 2, take the math 1 as well, because it may make up for your low SAT Math… It only takes an hour and costs like 5 bucks. Take it as your third (final) SAT 2 so if you become wiped out towards the end the only score it would effect would be the Math 1.

kk thank you all for the advice. and yes my main goal was just to score higher in the upcoming Sats. And yes i am a URM but nonetheless would like to score a 2000+(that would be amazing).Hopefully with a good month and a half of reviewing phys and doing practice tests I can reach my goals.
