Advice for major choice? (art or social science)

Hi, I’m an international student from korea applying to HYPS and some ivy colleges.
I’m applying as a math/appmath major, but i’m wondering what to choose as my third choice.
I wanted to choose art, and many of my ECs are pretty unique and art related. For examples, I’ve organized an exhibition using tech and art (my common app topic) and I’m the founder of a big art community service club. Also, my previous art teacher wrote a pretty strong additional recommendation for me.
But I don’t have an art portfolio or awards in art as other applicants would have, so I’m wondering to change my third choice to social science. I also have pretty big international awards in stuff related to sociology and statistics, and also debating tournaments (which i could link to social science).

So, a few questions I have:

  1. Should I choose art or social science?
  2. Is the arts supplement for liberal arts colleges really “optional?”
  3. I know that almost all applicants who choose art as their first choice submit a portfolio, but does that apply to STEM students who would choose art as their third choice?

No HYPSM college admits by major. List whatever you like as your 3rd choice. It makes no difference.

No art portfolio is expected. And if it’s not a great portfolio, don’t waste everyone’s time by submitting.
