He might like Washington & Jefferson Col in Washington Pa, about 25 miles from Pittsburgh. It is in the county seat, there are lots of restaurants in town, with tons of cultural things to do in the Pittsburgh area. It is around 30 minutes to the airport, and plenty of rides available.

How about Gettysburg college? It's beautiful and not too far from Phillie.

Others... Grove City Col in western PA about an hour from Pgh airport (rides available), though his reading SAT might be a tad low; U. of Delaware is said to be an up&comer with a nice campus...

What about Allegheny?

As a sidenote....nice post jaybee. You have summed up what my D and I have found to be true.

He has taken two AP classes and gotten 5s and 6s. Gradewise, he's a late bloomer. His cumulative GPA is 3.1, weighted is 3.8, because he got 2 1/2 Cs in math and German in 9th and 10th grade.

You also might want to take a look at Drew University in New Jersey.

Chaoses, by 2 & 1/2 Cs, I meant that he got a C in Algebra I (due to not handing in homework and not doing extra credit sudoku puzzles), a C in German III and a C in a one semester math course...
