Hey guys, I just took the June 2 SAT but I think I did absolutely horrible on the math section! I know I left 10 blank; what can be my highest possible score? One of my friends told me it's usual to leave 8 blank (not if you're shooting for an 800 of course, but for maybe like a 600?). But anyways, a lot of you guys seem to be very good at the math sections. Do you have any advice? I usually end up leaving about 2 or 3 blank per section (the last ones). The thing is, I prepped really hard the past couple weeks and still cannot score higher than my friend who is laaaaazy lol (breaks 2000 easily). Any and all advice is appreciated!

ok first time i took it i got a 600, that was without study. On my last "real" (it was a practice diognostic), i scored a 680. I didn't study for the first one, and can only say to get used to the "hard" type of questions, the patterns they use for their problems. You left 10 blank? That is probaly 600 or under. I left i think 6 blank and got 6 wrong to score a 600. But dude totally, i am in the same boat as u. both my parents easily scored 800, they both expect the same out of me.

I hope I get at least a 600 and I can work up from that. My brother left 7 blank and got 4 wrong on the January SAT (42 final score) and still got a 640. I hoping I don't get too many wrong out of the ones I answered. Any other advice?

My only advice would be practice man, that really helps. These questions test the most basic things (read what the SAT I tests, it's nearly laughable), but word it soooo weird. When you get used to the wording, and reach a weird question on the test or w/e, ur brain has a much easier time adapting to the way the SAT requires you to think, which is usually completely different from school math

Thanks for the posts!
