Advice for SCEA Princeton Engineering

@Cantiger I hope I display that lol. I’m definitely visiting Princeton either this school year or next Summer so I’ll be sure to mention this in my engineering supplement. I definitely have a lofty goal of making a global impact with my research in increasing access to drinking water. Even just in terms of my water research I’ve performed in HS, I have led and began my own research project as well as submitting for a journal & patent this year! Thanks so much!

Anyone else with advice for SCEA Princeton Engineering?

Why Bio? You should strongly consider AP Chem as Chem is a requirement of all BSE majors, and a 5 on AP Chem will place you out of the first semester course. Physics is also required, whereas Bio is not, so perhaps consider AP Physics C as well-again 5s on both parts will place you out of the first year. Most BSE students will have had both AP Chem and Physics C. ES is considered an “AP Lite” and given no AP consideration at Princeton so you should only be considering it as an elective, not in lieu of Chem, Physics, or Bio.

You should not be thinking about free periods, and certainly not two. It won’t be any easier playing catch up at Princeton taking Chem and Physics at the same time!

Of course we are all putting the cart before the horse here…

Yeah I’m considering strongly either Cornell or Princeton for Engineering so if I were to apply to Princeton SCEA I would take AP Physics C & AP Chem senior year. However, if I were to apply Cornell CALS ED, I would be more inclined to take AP Bio & APES senior year. I’m looking for info on both, however. That way, I can make the best decision possible.
