Advice for senior taking ACT...

My SAT sucks (1800) so should I just take the ACT in october just to see how I do? I know nothing about the test, how should I study for it? I'm assuming its very similar to the SAT...

A lot of my friends think the ACT is easier than the SAT, but it’s just their opinions.
I suggest that you buy a ACT prep book or borrow one from a library, and take a practice test to see how well you do.
Unlike the SAT, you can choose which ACT scores you want to send to colleges, so there is no harm in taking the test.

Get the red “Real ACT Guide” book and Princeton Review - those are the two best ones.

If you finish those, get Barron’s (for just an overall butt-kicking.. it’s pretty hard, but it makes the real thing seem easier) and Kaplan (for reading only). Then there are some tests online, too.
