Advice for the College Class of 2018 and on

I saw an advice forum for admissions so why not for here???

I'll start

Get involved early!

Make sure you have a running record of the classes that you need to take for your major

Meet with your adviser and teacher when you find it necessary.

Dropping a class is ok....

If your school has a “degree audit” or something like it, use it to keep track of what you’ve completed and what you still require! Sometimes the requirement(s) you expect a class to cover and what the school thinks it covers are completely different, especially if you transfer schools or study abroad!
Make friends in your major! They’re good resources and can tell you which class/professor to avoid or to pay attention to, what clubs and outside study things would be useful, etc.
