Advice Harvard extension school

Hello,
This is my first post. I'm not sure this is the right forum section to post so please correct me if it is wrong.

I' was looking the other day and I found that I can get a Master Degree in Information Technology through Harvard Extension School. I'm considering this for several reasons. I am an international student for Jordan Middle East. I have Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering with 2.81 GPA. I took the IELTS and score was 7.5. I also did the GRE 160Q, 155V, and 3.5 Writing.

I was looking at Universities to get a Master Degree in Information Technology and for several reason including my low GPA, high tuition fees, I don't have much experience in IT but I'd like to do that and the level of education in universities. I though it is not the best idea to get a Master from the states.

My options are:
1- To get a Master Degree in my country then maybe apply to Phd outside. (not great education but cheaper total of $15,000 for two years including living costs)
2- Get a Master Degree from a OK school in the States (Expensive and okay education)
3- Try to get into Harvard Extension school which I think will be better than 2nd tier universities in the States and in my country. Even if I didn't get in I think it would improve my chances to get into better school in the States having 3 graduate courses.

I'm not looking to add Harvard on my resume. I'm just thinking I'll get good education for cheap that would help me get into Master either their or somewhere else.

I would like to know what people think about this. I welcome all points of view.

Thanks

Given your circumstances, it sounds to me like Harvard Extension is a good option for you.

Harvard Extension School is very reasonably priced and you will have access to top-notch resources and faculty. However, the admissions process is unique as you will have to complete pre admission courses with a solid ‘B’ or better. It is also important to keep in mind that these courses will not qualify for federal student loans/aid so you must pay out of pocket or secure private financing. Best of luck to you in your endeavors!

I think Harvard Extension is a good option for someone wanting an inexpensive education.

Just remember, you technically won’t get a Masters degree in Information Technology.
Instead, you will receive a Master of Liberal Arts in Extension Studies.

If you don’t intend to use the Harvard brand, or the degree name on your resume, then HES sounds perfect for you.
