I graduated from Chapman University, Orange campus, with a degree in Computers,i have a cumulative gpa of 2.92. Some college ask for last two years of cumulative gpa and some ask for the last 60 units. As of right now I'm doing my two years work experience, and working on my gmat. Given those gpa below, what kind of gmat scores will earn a seat to any business school in california. I was thinking of ucr, uci, and chapman(orange campus). What are my chances?

Last 2 years: 2.93
Last 60 units: 2.765

I think it's probably a waste of time doing my masters in business, besides my degree in Computers is good enough to land me a good job, it's just the matter of time and experience. As a recent college grad, I wanted a 50-60k year job, but I figure the job market is pretty bad and competive in my field. Rather than doing my masters, perhaps I should concentrate on the certificates, like MCSE and CCNA, and at the same time gain some work experience. Besides Computers and Business don't mix well. When comes to landing that good job, a bachelor is good enough, it's ALL ABOUT EXPERIENCE, EXPERIENCE AND EXPERIENCE, and sometimes or perhaps in mose cases NEPOTISM.

With a sub-3 GPA from Chapman, you'll have a hard time getting in to a UC MBA program unless you hit a home run on the GMAT and get awesome work experience.
