Advice needed ASAP: IB Physics HL seen as better than IB Chemistry HL?

In my school, we are only permitted to take one. I like both but currently I am in HL chem. I am very interested in the President's Scholarship at Georgia Tech, and I was looking through the GT credit listings today and noticed a qualifying score on HL Physics is worth 8 credit hours while HL Chem is only 4 credit hours...and this credit is equivalent to a 730 on Chemistry SAT II Subject Test. I am taking the Chem subject test in June and I feel like I could get this score already and I will be taking AP Chem next year regardless. I can still switch my HLs for a limited time...should I go with physics? I want to do engineering, but probably chemical or environmental engineering. Still physics, of course. Advice? Thanks!

It doesn’t matter what is seen as “better”. Really, it is a situational thing, and the best course will be the one that fits you/your story the best while also being enjoyable.

But is physics more necessary for being ready for engineering (particularly listed disciplines)? @Apollo11‌

That doesn’t matter if the OP doesn’t want to enter that field, which is the crux of my post.

@apollo11 she is the OP and she is asking if physics would be better for an engineering hopeful. I definitely think physics would be best. It helps to at least have some kind of physics before going to college where it is very fast-paced.

Yes thank you @jimmyboy23‌ that was what I was wondering. I think that physics would be better because SAT II chemistry pretty much covers all of HL chem if I can do well on that, and the transition will be extremely peaceful (all SL students learn HL material at my school in chemistry).
