1) Dunno. Inquire of Yale directly.
2) Dunno. check yourself. [Learn About Advanced Placement Program AP Exams and Courses](<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>Get the Most Out of AP – AP Students | College Board)
3) You’ll be around 1400 others answering the same question. It’s a part of maturation. Plus there are excellent counselors and support. Plus there’s a good sized international group of students too.
4) see #3. Freshman counselors, and also your residential college dean. All students have access to University mental health facilities too
5) All freshman are required to live on campus with meal plan. Big gymnasium and most everyone does physical stuff (exercise or sports teams).
6) Yale might want to know that you’ll be able to handle the stresses of its environment. You should ask yourself: will you? Will you be discriminated? It’s maddeningly difficult for everyone. To ascribe “discrimination” due to your disorders is difficult to ascertain. It’s possible that your file readers may be extra cautious with you however. They will have to be convinced to really really really want you – which is difficult.
7) Yale has one of the biggest LGBT groups in the Ivies. Don’t know of any Hindu-specific challenges however. Yale is very open so little discrimination happens outwardly.
8) There are groups for everything
9) Go to Yale’s website. Then call them. The profile of those admitted looks extremely like the profile of those who are rejected.
10) You don’t. You continue to take the most rigorous classes possible and excel at them. You just put your best package forward and let it go.

Like another respondent to you on another forum: I question why you only are inquiring about Harvard, Yale Princeton. This bespeaks of “name recognition” college searching. It tells me you really know little about Yale itself and what makes it unique. I would advise you broaden your search as International admits to these three schools hovers around the 5% range.

And don’t just go by so-called “prestige” in your search. It only shows lack of knowledge and sophistication.

Hi T26E4
What I like MOST about Yale are its Residential College System, the Ethics,Politics,Economics Major, its Strong Political Science Department. What I like MOST about Princeton are its Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs Program and its Eating Clubs. What I like MOST about Harvard are its EXCELLENT Academics, its Wiedner Library, its Law School, and its Kennedy School of Government… And what I like MOST about ALL of them is their Need-blind admissions policies towards International Students and their FINANCIAL AID Policies…
I have a burning desire to attend the Big-Three Mainly because of the above-mentioned reasons, and many more, which I can’t possibly list out here.

Oh and By the way, I really can’t decide between the three of them as to which one to attend, So it would be Most nice of you respected elders of the community if you’d help me make that decision too.

Sorry for posting the same-sounding threads/replies in most forums… But the posts REALLY come from the BOTTOM of my Heart… I Promise!! I really Do…

“Oh and By the way, I really can’t decide between the three of them as to which one to attend, So it would be Most nice of you respected elders of the community if you’d help me make that decision too.”

Every year a handful of students have this problem. When and IF you get to this point in about 1.5 years, ask again. Otherwise, it’s pretty presumptuous to even mention that.

And by-the-way I am NOT going by so-called prestige… I have REALLY invested a Lot of time and Energy in my College search, and I CAN’T possibly find another College apart from the Big-Three that offers a Need-blind Admissions Policy and Need-based Financial Aid to INTERNATIONAL students also… As I happen to come from a third-world country, and my folks aren’t that rich… (BTW, Sorry for repeated use of capital letters, I just happen to have a strong tendency to type/write like this… Please Forgive Me.)

There are a few others with solid reputations too. Go to the general College Admissions forum and inquire there. Again, these are the MOST competitive for international applicants as I’m sure you’re aware.

Admissions to HYP is tough for everyone, especially internationals. It is vital that you expand your US college search well beyond these three schools.

Amherst College, Dartmouth College, Williams College, Middlebury College and MIT are the other five schools that are need blind to internationals.

I’m also an Indian, but I live in the US. There’s this Asian American Cultural Club that holds a lot of activities and they’ve sent me so many letters/e-mails [even a handwritten letter] and many other groups and people have sent me letters and e-mails welcoming me to Yale. It’s a very amiable place and you don’t have to worry about discrimination. There are many people like you and many people different from you and this type of environment will help you grow.
