Advice needed!

<p>Does anyone know of the US Presidential Scholars Program? My daughter received an invitation from US Dept. of Education to apply. We aren't sure how legitimate or reputable it is. Feedback would be appreciated. Thank you very much.</p>

<p>It is legitimate. There are no monetary prizes/scholarships, but it is an academic honor. Winners (two per state) get a trip to Washington, DC.</p>

<p>I have a relative who was a Presidential Scholar in the Arts; there are a certain number of those also in addition to the two from each state. His immediate family all went to a ceremony where he shook hands with the President and we have a large photo of same. Definitely legitimate.</p>
