So i have a local EC who I called this past weekend and set up an interview for this coming Sunday. All I've been thinking about is what am I going to say?! He said that the interview should last about an hour and he requested to meet at a coffee shop so I don't know how formal I should dress for such an occasion. On top of that I need to be prepared for any and every question that he asks, but I know that I need to portray myself as an actual person more than what they already see on paper. Should I talk about my academic achievements? Should I talk about my personal life? Should I act excessively serious like a job interview or try and be down to earth to show him what typer of person I am? I just don't know what to expect and any advice on what to talk about would be great. He said on the phone that the interview shouldn't be questions directed towards him but rather talking about me so I need to brainstorm what I'm going to talk about before going in there. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

The best advice I can give you is to be yourself. Trust me, the interview will probably not go as you would expect, so staying calm is the best option. I too was anxious, but my interview turned out to be very casual.

I know it can sound very stressful, but the best advice I can give you is to relax. My interview was very casual. I don’t think you have to dress up for it, though looking like a total slob should probably be avoided. I had mine after school last year, so I just wore my school uniform, not a big deal. As for what to say, I wouldn’t try to plan it out ahead of time. Just be yourself and talk about you - what interests you, what cool stuff you do, etc. Interviews are an awesome way to show sides of you that might not come across on paper. Good luck!
