So I'm going to be a senior next year and I'm having problems choosing between AP Macro, AP Comp gov and AP stat. I know for sure I'm taking AP Calc, AP Latin IV, AP Lit, and APES. I really don't want to overload my coursework senior year especially because of sports and ECs. So my question is how much work and how hard are Macro, Comp, and Stat? I heard stat is super easy but I'm nervous for Macro. And is comp gov a lot of writing like APUSH? Which one should I choose to minimize the amount of effort and still get an A in the class? And are any of them even a little bit interesting? Thank you!

Those (macroeconomics, comparative government, statistics) all cover material ordinarily covered in a semester in college, so they are generally considered to be among the lighter AP courses, though it is possible that teachers at your school could make them more work than they otherwise would be.

If you are interested in social studies type subjects, all three are useful (two of them are social studies, and statistics is commonly used in social studies, though in college, you may have to take a more in-depth, major-specific, or calculus-based statistics course for some majors).

For balance, I’d pick AP Comp or AP Macro since you don’t have a social science. If you’re into math, you could double up by having AP Calc and AP Stats.
