Advice on College Admissions?

I'm currently a junior, and I was wondering if my current grades/test scores/"resume" would match up to the admissions "requirements" for HYPS and schools likes HYPS.

My SAT score is a 2400, ACT w/ Writing is 36 (35 if Writing is refactored into my composite score). I have yet to take most of my SAT IIs (I'm retaking Math IIC, which I currently have a 790 on, and my French subject was rather bad, so I'm not reporting it), but I'm hoping that out of the 5 that I will have taken by June (including Math IIC retake), I'll have at least 2 or 3 that are 750+.

I'm involved in numerous clubs and service activities (and have placed in state competitions), held a job at a tutoring center during sophomore year, and while I am not involved in a traditional sport, I'm part of my school's Colorguard, which has won many awards in state competitions.

I have straight As (except for one B in AP Euro, second semester), and have taken a total of 6 AP courses, 3 Honors so far. I'm planning on a schedule with at least 5 AP courses next year.

However, my main weak point is my AP test scores. I received two 3s in Euro and French my sophomore year, mainly due to the fact that I was unaccustomed to the testing environment and I had personal/family problems at the time. I'm hoping to get nearly all 5s this year, but I am currently in AP testing week, and so can't guarantee anything.

Provided that the average of my AP test scores over the next year is a 4, and I write a decently good essay, would I have a good chance at getting into HYPS? I'm mainly worried about my AP scores, and while I hear that they do not matter much in admissions, I also hear that a 3 is considered very bad, whereas at my school, a 3 isn't good, but it also isn't horrible.

AP scores honestly don’t matter. You don’t have to send in your AP scores anyways; it is not required.

Otherwise, your numbers look good. Just make sure your passion shows through for something.
