Advice on college list.

Guys the following are colleges currently in my list:
University of Rochester(Difficult i guess), Skidmore college, Ohio Wesleyan university, Earlham college

My SAT score- 1880(Oct 11) but expecting a 1900+ with 700+ M and around 600 CR in November 8 SAT.
A levels- Maths B, Biology A, Chemistry A, General paper b, Physics B
SAT subject tests: Biology Chemistry MATH 2 (Dec 6) expecting 700+ each
National Award: Biology AS country topper
Numerous academic high school awards, consistent top 5% throughout high school
Volunteering in local dental clinic and volunteer teaching in local school.
Numerous ECs like Drama(Conducted in city for a week), President of social service club in high school, Soccer, Basketball, Athletics, Quiz in school.
Fingerstyle guitar arrangement as part of art supplement in common app.
Working on application essay.

I am an asian student who can afford up to 15-20k per year. But looking for possible full aid. UOR is my first choice but also the most difficult one to get into I guess. Am i being realistic here? Or should I look at lower tier colleges with minimal tuition fees which I can afford? I am hoping if I get about 80% aid covered in these colleges then attending won't be a problem. If you have some colleges in mind which I should be looking into freely suggest them. I prefer small liberal arts with sub urban or rural setting and generous need based aid. Majors: Neuroscience, Psychology.

You can’t get full aid with your current stats. Fingerstyle guitar art supplement sounds interesting, but that alone can’t cover other generic ECs and low SAT score. What’s your GPA?

You have to be perfect in everything to get in great schools with financial aid and/or merit scholarships…does U of Rochester guarantee full aid?

You might want to apply to Berea college; it offers int student financial aid as well. With your SAT it will be hard but who knows?

Since you need financial aid/scholarship, you really don’t have choices of size of school and such. Try to look in schoolos that give merit aid based on SAT.
For example, U of Alabama give partial to full OOS tuition scholarship based on GPA 3.5+ and SAT 1280(math+CR)~1400+.

Many of these schools are on rolling basis so do it ASAP./

So would I qualify for at least 80% of the aid? Just found out that U of R is need aware towards international student, so that is crossed off my list. Yeah I guess, I can’t be picky now so will apply to colleges with automatic tuition aid based on SAT scores. Thanks a lot for the information and the rolling admissions you mention, does it mean I can apply by Jan 1 or it is over sooner?

Automatic scholarshisps are due 12/1 for the most schools. And for imstitutional aid fromprivate schools you need way above Sat? about top 1sr quartile

@paul2752‌ Ok thanks for that so I will get my application ready before december. I thought that 1900-2100 SAT was good for colleges like owu where the average is around 1600-1700.

Does OWU even give FA to int students?

@paul2752 yeah i have contacted their international admissions staff and i even heard that owu is generation with their aids.
