I've seen a LOT of mixed reviews about Columbia University's Summer programs for High School students. I just wanted to ask a specific question about the writing workshops.

I'm taking the introductory creative writing workshop, which I've heard some (generally) positive reviews about. However, I still have doubts.

Before I applied, I was honestly expecting a rigorous summer program on par with the legendary Columbia University. I'm glad I'm being sponsored by my school for most of the tuition now, but I'm regretting not applying for the advanced workshops. I just didn't want to get potentially overwhelmed by the workload I wasn't expecting. I think I overestimated the rigor now... :(

Anyway, I digress. Can someone give me a general idea of the class size, academic rigor, and general atmosphere of the introductory workshop.

I REALLY hope this program is worth the price!
