My DS will be living in Wildwood this fall. He stayed there for orientation and found that a lot of space can be created by raising the bed and utilizing the room underneath for storage and such. Has anyone had experience adding a second small refrigerator in their room? Is it allowed?

The single unit provided seems too small to store much food, drinks, and snacks for two people. What have been your experiences?

Ya I stayed there too. The place was pretty good. The layout was also nice. But the closets were tiny. They were just very small. Yes, even i notice it. The beds were pretty high already and he could get something to hold all his stuff there. Overall wildhood was good. and ya the fridge was kind of small. I would get another one.

May I bring an additional refrigerator?
No, University Housing provides one refrigerator for each room. Two are provided for residents living in rooms designated as triples, except in Cawthon where one larger refrigerator is provided. If an additional refrigerator is necessary due to a medical condition please contact University Housing prior to your arrival for the necessary information.

When I lived in Wildwood, I didn’t really rearrange the furniture too much, but the bed I had was fully raised and my dresser fit perfectly underneath it. The closets are a bit small as well, but I rarely had any issues fitting my clothes in either the dresser (3 decently sized drawers) or the closet.

You’ll notice that in pretty much every dorm at FSU that if the beds can be raised, there is a gold mine of storage space to be found.

Only one fridge per room. And those little fridges tend to either ice over and/or let sensitive food (such as milk) go bad quickly. I was so happy when I moved into my McCollum single with a full-sized fridge!

I believe the posters are correct, only the school issued fridge. My daughter had a large plastic bin for nonperishable foods. On each floor there may be a kitchen, and in that kitchen there might be a big refrigerator. Things have to be kept in a brown bag, away from curious eyes and marked DO NOT EAT or NOT YOUR FOOD. And then you take your chances.
