In my spare time I paint models, and I have won some awards for my work. Do you think this is worth mentioning to colleges?

If you have an intense interest in modelling, such that telling about it would be a genuine expression of your own personality and voice, then you might consider telling more about this interest, perhaps in an essay.

this does too much. don't worry too much.

^ What do you mean?

Maybe eliminate a few insignificant sports. Have you ever done anything major outside of school? It seems like your main EC focus has always surrounded the usual adolescent hs activities, which may be a bit boring before the eyes of admissions officials. They want to see you more involved in things outside the normal sphere of highschool.

Also, what is your main focus after all? Your list doesn't seem to have any depth, and couldn't really show what your major commitment is.

Running is definately my biggest activity. I helped organize a running group for the summer, and I spend about 15 hrs/wk year round with it. Does that information make it seem like more of a commitment?

sorry! i meant to say, the people on this site do to much. Also, the importance of your EC's depend on what school you are applying to. If you are applying to, say University of Iowa, your EC's are outstanding. At Harvard, maybe they are just average. do you know where you are applying?

My top schools are Penn, Chicago, Penn and Cornell.
