Advice on how to approach this prompt?

Hey everybody,
I simply have a couple questions on a transfer personal statement I need to write to apply as a transfer student. The prompt reads:

" Inclusive excellence and diversity play a central role at the University of Colorado Boulder and within our learning environments. Please describe why diverse and inclusive learning environments are important and how CU Boulder fits with your academic and professional goals." (Between 250-650 words)

This is, for me, a difficult prompt for me to address. On one hand, I’ve heard you are supposed to work in a personal anecdote around the question being ask, yet the prompt isn’t asking me to talk about my experiences, it just flat out says, “Please describe why diverse and inclusive learning environments are important”. So what should I address? Any tips to make my essay strong?

I should clarify that I come from a white, middle class background and am a male. Also to clarify, my question is mostly asking if I should talk about why inclusive/diverse learning environments are important generally, or if I should tackle it with a story of my (limited) experience with diversity and inclusiveness.

Seems to me that point 2 answers point 1.

Your limited experience with, and exposure to, diverse perspectives is precisely why you’d benefit from one, and therefore why they are important.
