Advice on how to do better with ACT?

I got a 27 on the ACT.....twice DX. So this time when I take it Feb. 6th I want at least a 31. So my mommy said she will buy me the Barron's ACT book and the Barron's ACT:Getting a 36 book to prepare. Are these the best choices? I heard Barrons is harder so I like that about it, But I just want to know if maybe there is a better combination of books?
Also how long do you think I should study a day if I started in like....1 week? Realistically how much do I need to put in to pull up my score those 5-7 points? I am determined to do it.

Oh for record I got
24-Math
27-science
32-reading
24-....English?

try the red book official ACT first, then the barrons

maybe a section or two a day would help out. and just taking the tests dont do anything, check the answers and why you do it wrong, then the next day re do the same questions you got wrong and make sure you get them right :)

lol - “My mommy said…” Anyways, yeah, the red book is really good.

red book all the way…
hahaha

lol I didnt realize mommy is a big thing. XD I love my mommy tho :3
But ok so the red book and Barron’s ACT?

Yes.

Red Book for practice tests.
Barron’s for strategy.

I should know, as I’m buying the same books. ;)

Awesome. Thank you all very much!
