So May 1st is coming up and I'm having trouble deciding whether I want to go to Vanderbilt University or UNC- Chapel Hill. Money is not an issue, because I got good deals from both schools. I live in Chapel Hill, NC. I want to study Environmental Science/ Biology and minor in Music. I really love both schools and do not know which one I'd rather go to! Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Vanderbilt gets my vote.

For it’s smaller, and don’t you feel like exploring outside world since you already live in Chape Hill?

And Nashville is great place to learn music!

I would opt for Vandy. It won’t be a bad decision to go to UNC, but Vandy is a bit higher on the prestige ranking and Nashville is pretty cool :)

I’d pick Vanderbilt. Better prestige and location

Is there a cost differential? If there is, you can safely choose the cheaper school. If the aid packages work out to be the same, why not try the one further from home. It will give you a chance to be a bit more independent. And, if you hate it, you can transfer back.

Good luck!
