Advice on my degree program.

I want to pursue a career in healthcare administration but there are a few different options for it.

*UT at Arlington has two dual degree programs: BS in Biology with MBA and BS in Biology with a Masters in Healthcare administration.

*A&M just has a Masters in Healthcare administration.

I am most likely going to UTA this coming fall/spring because A&M wasn't on mm radar until recently, when I found about about the Aggie Assurance Program. MY question is which one of these suits my needs? Does a masters from A&M looks better than one from UTA, does a BS in Bio AND (MBA or MHA) look better than just a masters? Any help would be immensely appreciated.

Some comments:
-I don’t see the relevance of a BS in Biology for an an MBA/MHA or for healthcare administration. A degree in nursing* or in economics would seem more relevant.
(*as long as you take some basic econ and quantitative courses to prepare for an MBA, which might be difficult due to the more rigid coursework requirements in nursing)
-An MBA is more versatile than an MHA, though with an MHA you might have a somewhat easier time getting an initial job specific to healthcare admin. Beyond the initial job, it won’t matter—it’ll all come down to your performance and experience no matter what degree you have. The MBA vs. MHA might point to somewhat different career paths, with the MBA focused more on healthcare finance, insurance, etc. and the MHA focusing on that or administration of healthcare facilities—but that’s just my impression.
-I looked at the TAMU website, but didn’t see any info on an MHA program.
-The BS Biology/Master’s dual degree doesn’t look any better than just the Master’s.
-IMO, a master’s degree from TAMU looks somewhat better than one from UT-A, but I don’t live in TX so I’m not entirely sure how these schools are perceived within the state.

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. In Texas, generally A&M is a higher ranked school and thought of as right up there with UT, while Arlington is a branch of UT. I could not find anything on their website regarding a MHA either but I spoke with someone there today and they said they had one.
